There is always going to be people that are going to be like that. I don't think I would classify myself as power hungry, or can I recall ever being an ass hole to somebody because of my post count, but I feel as though sometimes the stereotypes about what defines a respected person on this site kind of sets people up for failure, and false expectations. I feel as though since I have a high post count that it leads to false expectations on a persons attitude or the way they handle themselves.

I can't tell you the amount of times that I swear I have honestly won contests that were apparently "random" because of my post count/ttg status.

On many occasions, I have sent people friend requests and then they IM me a few minutes later saying that they were shocked or surprised when I added them. When I ask them why, the answer is always something like "Cause your popular on TTG."

This stereotype sometimes puts you into the position of a role model, whether they want it or not, and some people just aren't ready for that.

I dislike people who are so sure of themselves, like they own the world or something and feel the need to act superior because they have, what, a higher post count? It's not fair and as Famous_Energy said, it pushes members away...

Awesome feedback.

For the record, I am not mentioning names or saying all the respected members are rude.

I have had many occasions where certain "popular" people on TTG have been rude either directly to me or on a post I've commented on.

I am glad some of the known members are here showing that they are in fact friendly down to earth regular people.

On the lows some people who are "known" feel like they are better, they dont want to admit it, but they do. I dont consider myself known because the amount of breaks I took on TTG is crazy, the only reason i have these stats is because ive been here for 3 threes, going to 4.

edit: not to say known members arent like this, most of them are cool friendly people, im talking about few where they feel like the badge over powers people, its just code that comes on your post, relax.

Think about it take a second...

Exactly.

Tiffxny wrote Some of the more well known users of TTG, IMO tend to act like they are far superior. A fraction of them treat other members unfairly and are just plain rude.

I am not saying all of them, there are plenty of friendly users as well.
I just don't understand the power hungry assholes.

I literally have ranted about this same thing myself, and more times than just once to be totally honest. I myself would fall into the "known" category of this site. BUT, I do not think that I am above anyone else on here and am not mean to anyone on here just because I am more known or whatever.

I have met many a users on here that think they are the best thing since sliced bread though. I totally understand what you are talking about.

To be honest I would never look down on a new member. However things said in the shoutbox should not be taken seriously.

I agree with this also, many members think that because they are gold, think they're better than us members who aren't 1

I understand what your saying but as many others have said there are also a lot of amazing members who are considered known. For instance AR15 who I spoke to a while back and he very kindly made me some graphics for free
