I usually dont but its hard to tell if someone is joking over a forum, with it being just what they type

Some staff who work there really are stupid and just there for the money. However, I have met quite a few nice employees who actually know their stuff and I have had plenty of good conversations with them.

Correct they are Salesman, but you are more likely to get return custom by being honest and helpful.

Minimal to Zero knowledge.....they sound like yourself then.
The store I WORK IN, has some very well educated members.I class myself as well educated and learn from some of the members daily.

Earn commission?? You will be hard stretched to find Retail outlets such as Currys who still commission.
Mobile Broadband is a current earner, even then it is very low (less than 1 hours pay)

My far wall is a long wall of Keyboards and Mice.
There is a separate section for gaming hardware.
So much so, we have more people buying for PC than Console. Why? GAME...

That is pretty damn stupid.

When I went in last week, they tried to charge me for something I never purchased or even asked for. However they were extremely great with fixing my laptop when I dropped it.

What this guy is saying can be very true, when I bought my first laptop when I was about 11 the employee said to my mum that I get loads of viruses whenever I went on the internet. Not true but we bought it anyway, turned out my computer came with a 1 year subscription of bullguard so I didn't even need anti virus in the first place.
