ashelite720 wrote DO NOT RGH YOUR CONSOLE IF YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Not to come across as a jerk, but I don't have an RGH/JTAG and I can tell you everything about one. Unless you can RGH it by yourself without any tutorials, and you understand why and how each RGH and JTAG method works don't even approach it. It isn't something that just happens. If you aren't careful you may permanently damage your console. If you really want a modded console, however, study up on Xbox 360 homebrew and learn how it works and why. Once you have modded your Xbox you need to know how to get online as well. You also need to manage your patch files, or DLLs. I am sorry to write such a lengthy post, but to be honest I am frustrated. On these forums I seem to be seeing lots and lots of people asking questions about homebrew consoles that should not be asked if one is getting such a console. Sorry to rant.

Good luck.

Hi I have 2 jtagged consoles both on the latest dash im just new to rgh and wanted to try it out

You should know more if you have 2 jtagged consoles. RGH is similar, and lets you do the same thing. You don't need an RGH if you have even one JTAG lol. JTAGs are faaaarrrr superior to the RGH. They insta-boot and are stable. RGHs break easily and glitch often. Why would you want to explore RGHs if you already have 2 JTAGs that can do everything an RGH can. Do not reply "I wanted to try it out".

I disagree with the statement "JTAGs are superior to RGHs"

Due to the following reasons.
- You cannot JTAG any console
- You can't JTAG the most reliable motherboard, the trinity.
- RGH can be performed on every console and is virtually unpatchable.
- Many JTAG consoles are not reliable due to them being so old. They have to be years old to even turn into a JTAG

I see what you mean, but as far as installations and stability they are indeed superior(assuming you have a JTAGable console). However, that wasn't my point. The author of this post has two JTAGs and still wants an RGH. Plus, he doesn't know what NAND is... My point was he should know a little more if he has the experience he says he has.

But, I guess it isn't my place to judge...

If you want an RGH go for it!

Best of luck.

Oh I know what your point was, believe me. I hate it when people try to do things when they don't pay attention to anything

Stop what you're doing and send the console off to a pro; you'll most likely end up bricking it.

Do you have any soldering experience?

trust me bud rgh is work but if your like me you will enjoy the learning process. i Rghed my first Jasper 512 (big block) and every time i needed help i turned to ttg and i learned ttg wont help that much half the kids on here bought their rghs from sellers on here so what i did i stuck to team excuters site read alot and was able to succeed with the Whole process.
now don't get me wrong i came on here once and met a nice guy that wasn't like the other kids he taught me the process of rgh 2.0 which pointed me in the right place. stay to it dont give up and if you f**k up your console buy a new one

RGH relies on a chip to glich the nand every time the console boots up. making it have boot times. which alot of the times rghs can fail to boot. jtags smc hack doesnt have this issue because it doesnt rely on a 3rd party chip.
