The people that make our generation suck are the people who complain about how it sucks. I'm 16 years old this is my generation and I honestly do not think it sucks do I think a bunch of shit that goes on today should go on no not at all do I complain no

The next generation of people always look 'bad' in the previous generations eyes. The cycle will always continue, you'll rant about our next generation of people when the day comes.

GibbityTree wrote Healthcare? Nah, it sucks **** here. Education? A joke. You have to spend a billion dollars to get into a five-star college, and end up with debt afterwards. And on top of that, your not even guaranteed a good job/career etc. But then again, nothing in life is guaranteed but death.

You're so incredibly wrong, apart from death. Unless you consider immortality to be created.

Healthcare? Yeah, nah. It doesn't suck, if you need a vaccination or a cast around your leg you can get that.
The poorer countries can't.
Education, not a joke. Maybe you just don't try hard enough at school. Your grammar is off, that gave me an idea you just don't want to learn.
A billion dollars for college? no. I'm not quite sure, but it's around 20k. The debt afterwards can be paid off, with your high paying job that you worked hard for, no you're not guaranteed a good job, though you can get one if you work hard, and you would want to work hard because you're paying a decent amount of money for college.

Honestly, you are quite wrong my friend. Healthcare in the U.S. is very much so a joke. You wouldn't know because I am guessing from your post you have no medical issues. The FDA allows manufacturers of medicine to sell medications at an outrageous profit margin. Just one of my medications literally costs $100,000 a year. That same substance was available in the 80s for $30 in health food stores before it was made a schedule 1 narcotic (now it is schedule 3 for people who have my disability), and even more sad is the sheer amount of people who are also in the same boat as I. if that isn't a joke I don't know what is.

Education is also a joke in the U.S., The Europeans have a much better system in place. Here you more or less have to go into debt to get into some fields (medical being the biggest one). My sister still talks about how she has $300,000 in student loans she has to pay off (and that was only for a Masters in Psychology, and before I am corrected yes many universities are much cheaper than the one she decided to attend, but not by an awful lot) And friends of mine are constantly talking about how long it will take to pay their own loans off.

Pre-university education in the U.S. revolves around standardized testing (which don't bother testing critical thinking) and schools prioritize learning topics that are on said tests instead of prioritizing topics that are more relevant and applicable to everyday life and today's world.

Thank you for that post. Maybe some people will finally wake up and smell the coffee.

BigWes wrote It is NOT complaining; it's stating the obvious facts about this generation and why people do not like this generation because in all honesty its pretty messed up (Opinion)(Sounds like you're complaining about peoples opinions with this post). Everyone takes things for granted, doesn't mean we can't change later on. It's the American way of life to take things for granted now. We aren't exposed to other countries and when we are we refuse to care. One day people will stop taking things for granted; even though the abundance of the material we do take for granted is large.
I honestly don't know whether to agree or disagree because I agree a little bit, but then again, it's getting old hearing people say "Faith in humanity restored" or whatever.
