The only game I am interested in running is DayZ Standalone, I was wondering what you guys think of the parts as well. I'm going to build it over the summer.

If you want a good experience with DayZ Standalone, I would buy the Entry Level Graphics Option 1. Its more expensive, but is definitely worth it. I have the GTX 760 and it is awesome for DayZ. The APU would produce sub-par graphics.

i would actually get the r9 270x as the entry level gpu, so that he can crossfire the apu with the gpu.

you can't crossfire r9 series eg - 270 + 270x it has to be > 265 and down.

The 760 is a neat little card it'll do you well.

I was thinking of building it and then saving for one of the high end options.

Yeah thats a good idea, is the apu okay for running most games on medium to low settings?
