I understand why they have the tardy rule there. Its to attempt to teach you good habbits for when you get to a higher and more serious level of education or work. You don't want to show up 10 minutes late for work, or university.

Also, Mccdonalds probably isn't much better for you than your schools lunches. Just make a lunch for yourself at home to bring in the night before or something.

When I was still in school it was real chill. As long as you did your work it didn't matter what you did.

Anyone have even worse rules?

Well as you make the second rant sound your school has that rule to encourage you to buy school lunch making them money schools don't stay open for free in case you didn't notice as crazy as that sound they don't that's why you can't bring outside lunch in and for your first rant tarsus rules in high schools are to teach you that it's not ok to be late you may be "suspended" for ten tardys your lucky at my school it's 4. That rule is to teach you about showing up on time if you were late to work ten times there is no suspension they will most likely fire you and replace you with someone that can come to work on time.

When you're older, out of school and are maintaining a job or career, being late is not tolerated.

There are some businesses that may not mind if you are late here and there, but generally speaking, showing up later then you are scheduled to do shows a lack of motivation or willingness to work.

If you're given a schedule, and can not adhere to it, how should your employer that you will give your full effort when it comes to the responsibilities you're tagged with?

School may seem like a waste of time, but it is meant to somewhat mold you into being able to function successfully in the real world. Most kids and teens choose to disregard the school's importance, and don't care because it's too "boring."

From me to you, work isn't always going to be "fun," so perhaps you should give that some thought.

At my school if your tardy only 3 times you get 3 days of oss and when you come back 2 days of iss. So
Ridiculous.

At my high school, if you get 5 tardies you lose the credit for the class.
& if you get a "Tardy Late" which is being tardy to a class, 20 mins after the bell rings you lose the credit for the class.

My school is super strict. After 6 tardy's, you have to have a meeting with a parent and your dean and after 10, you have to serve detention for 3 days straight after school no excuses.

There rules dude, yeah they are annoying but life is full of rules. If your 10 minutes in catching a plane then your screwed. There training you to be ready for what happens after high school. Jobs will have tardy rules.

The leaving school for lunch is a safety concern. The school can't just let you leave because when you leave school while you are still attending that day, the school is liable for your actions. So let's say you and some friends walk to 7-11 during lunch, and the joint gets shot up and god forbid you and your friends get killed, that loss of life is out on the school. Your parents will sue the school for allowing them to leave without there supervision. (My school allows us to leave btw :p )

At my school, you can be tardy one time, then you have detention after the second time, and from then and out you have detention and then eventually you will be suspended.

I have been late to class everyday so far in grade 12... holding a Wendy's bag.
My teachers like me so all they say is "how are you not fat?"
