You can customize the amount space available to your Xbox to use as memory.
From 1 gig to 22 gig depending the Usb size.

As stated above you can customize the amount of storage it will use, dedicate around 1GB to the xbox files, that's what i did with my USB and it works fine.

It's like that for all UsB devices, what it does it takes a little space out for Title Updates and updates period.

i have a 80GB Usb harddrive it shows up as a **** 32BG -.-

you plug in the usb into xbox , then select it , it will say needs to be formatted once done u can save stuff to it .. if u plug in into pc and format it everything on it will be deleted

Anything past a 4gb Flash Drive
is not reliable so in future i would
suggest that you buy something
like a 2gb Cruzer
