First off, the fact that it's mandatory and HAS to be facing you to play your games. Also, Microsoft is affiliated with PRISM, if you don't know what PRISM is, read here [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

So thats another reason why I'm not buying the Xbox One, even though I've loved M$ in the past years. They've just screwed up too much.

Let me get my tin foil hat.

Microsoft has said that the Kinect can be turned off whenever you want.

I'm sure Microsoft would love to watch millions of teenagers in their underwear playing Call of Duty.

Legally they cant, im sorry but your stupid if you thin k so, Only if you accept the contract. Other than that they can do much with, "F*CK YOU COD FANBOY< STOP NOOBTUBING", They cant do much with that lol, are you going to yell your ss out to it? Get over it, Grow up, and dont tell your personnel info to a machine. BTW if you didnt know, when you go to get a security clearance for the military, they tell you dont lie because they already know all the answers. So just grow up its not a big deal, the goverment already knows.

BTW, Microsoft has been with PRISM since 2007, the kinect will not be used for PRISM DIPSH*T, just saying its the truth. and why are you worried about a program built to protect, you from possible threats. Get a life, and move on. Apple, facebook, google, and yahoo already are apart of this to. So good try. BTW QOUTES BY MICROSOFT WHEN THEY JOINED PRISM: Microsoft: "We provide customer data only when we receive a legally binding order or subpoena to do so, and never on a voluntary basis. In addition we only ever comply with orders for requests about specific accounts or identifiers. If the government has a broader voluntary national security program to gather customer data we don't participate in it.

So you have been disproven

It's more than just what people do while playing games. It being in your home means it can see everything in your room (which to some people is the living room.) This could potentially spy on multiple people and study them. They can then use the data to predict your next move before you even know what you are going to do (since we are creatures of habit.) It could also be used for something bigger. Maybe it's like a beta test. They could include these in TV's one day, which could potentially get into every modern household. It could get scary. It's not about conspiracies. It's about what the facts are now and what they can be in the future. Not buying an Xbox One isn't going to change anything though. This will either happen or not happen on it's own. Concern is a reasonable reaction to this though. People should be. It's a potential surveillance system in your home. Plus, the off feature means close to nothing. Microsoft, or anyone else that knows what they are doing, can get into the camera as long as it is connected to the internet (just as they can with web cams.)

Umm, No microsoft can and will not acess the kinect to spy on you wether for prism or for them selves. Microsoft: "We provide customer data only when we receive a legally binding order or subpoena to do so, and never on a voluntary basis. In addition we only ever comply with orders for requests about specific accounts or identifiers. If the government has a broader voluntary national security program to gather customer data we don't participate in it." BTW Prism is a orginization to help predict possible attacks on this country, not to get your personal info. WHY? because they already have it.

There are already TV's with camera's for motion control in them. No one complains about them.
