I'm sure Microsoft would love to watch millions of teenagers in their underwear playing Call of Duty.

Totally agreed. People claim that it always has to be on when it doesn't and its kind of irritating.

It's more than just what people do while playing games. It being in your home means it can see everything in your room (which to some people is the living room.) This could potentially spy on multiple people and study them. They can then use the data to predict your next move before you even know what you are going to do (since we are creatures of habit.) It could also be used for something bigger. Maybe it's like a beta test. They could include these in TV's one day, which could potentially get into every modern household. It could get scary. It's not about conspiracies. It's about what the facts are now and what they can be in the future. Not buying an Xbox One isn't going to change anything though. This will either happen or not happen on it's own. Concern is a reasonable reaction to this though. People should be. It's a potential surveillance system in your home. Plus, the off feature means close to nothing. Microsoft, or anyone else that knows what they are doing, can get into the camera as long as it is connected to the internet (just as they can with web cams.)
Umm, No microsoft can and will not acess the kinect to spy on you wether for prism or for them selves. Microsoft: "We provide customer data only when we receive a legally binding order or subpoena to do so, and never on a voluntary basis. In addition we only ever comply with orders for requests about specific accounts or identifiers. If the government has a broader voluntary national security program to gather customer data we don't participate in it." BTW Prism is a orginization to help predict possible attacks on this country, not to get your personal info. WHY? because they already have it.

I know what PRISM is. It's basically a global spying system. I'm not going to repeat what I put on your thread. The NSA is the organization. PRISM is a spying program. Terrorist attacks are very rare. The war on terror is a pretty nice excuse to get something like this to be ok with the citizens. It worked very well. Props US government. It's becoming less of land of the free and becoming more of land of the scared because of terrorist attacks that happen once in a blue moon. It's a shame really.

"Terrorist attacks are rare" YOUR ARE THE BIGGEST F*CKING RET*RD IN THE WORLD. Terroism is the act of striking fear. it happens everyday. So basically your saying it may be rare, but that oks because 9/11 definetly dind't kill 3,000 people. The boston bombing definately kill anybody. Those subway bombings never hurt anyone. the PRISM IS MADE TO STOP EVENTS WHERE INNOCENT LIVES ARE LOST! F*cking world is so f*cked up today.

The 9/11 attack and Boston Bombing was how many years apart? Yes, they are rare. Terrorism happens in the Middle East daily, and a lot of that (not all) is due to NATO (including American) soldiers. Good luck America. You're about to have thousands of drones in your airspace on top of all of this. I hope you didn't enjoy freedom. I hope you didn't enjoy liberty. Justice. Privacy. Peace.

Definition of TERRORISM

: the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion

Okay, terrorism is any threat typically. It's not rare. In fact, I was almost arrested TWICE for terroristic threats that HAD NOTHING to do with bombings.

I actually just mentioned I would beat this kid in school and he told the office. They called the police, and it was taken care of.

By your definition, it happens rarely in the United States. But by the actual definition, it happens daily.

Just saying they do have the right to give any kind of info from there customers to PRISM. I don't believe in conspiracies..

Information? Like showing how some 13 year olds pick buggers when no one is looking while playing BO2? Come the **** on, go ahead and don't get the new xbox. Hide all you wont. Pathetic.

They are allowed to send skype data i heard.
And people saying all they will see is people in their room.
Would you seriously want a super company knowing all about you and what you say.

Its funny how people don't care and are willing for microsoft to bring something like this into our homes.

What a **** retards everywhere.. Yes, Microsoft might use Skype text for safety reasons. No they're not 'filming you'.. same is with the PS4. If you don't want to be spied by the government, go live in a 40m deep hole, remove your facebook, twitter, destroy your computer, telephone, tv, xbox, PS4 and every other thing...

now shut the **** up and stop complaining
