Windows 8 did not fail? It is currently the most used OS out there. Windows 8 is fast, smooth and easy to navigate. I hated Windows 8 until I tried it, now I couldn't bare to switch back to Windows 7, for me it's either XP or Windows 8.

Saving money is also a good idea.

Game exclusives for the PS4 sounds good also.

I will be keeping my Xbox slim but I am getting a PS4 and no I am not jumping on a bandwagon or being a fanboy I am simply not going to be controlled or restricted by a games console or (Entertainment System)as it is now called. I feel that Sony have a lot more to offer and this is my opinion.
