Diaboli wrote Changing to an i5 will do NOTHING. It's the graphics card that determines how well the game will look and how well it will run.

You'd see more performance increase going from a 650 to a 660 than you would going from an i3 to a Xeon.

Graphics card for how well it looks....yes, but for performance the processor has a bit too do with it, with games utilising more than two cores for gaming you will notice the difference(especially with mmo's) some games are more CPU than GPU.And if that was the case as you say they would not put recommended processor on the boxes.

2 cores is sufficient in any game.

As he stated in the video with battlefield 3(which the op would be wanting to play) 2 cores would be sufficient(maybe missing a few npc's) but as I said in earlier post getting an i5 at least would be for future proofing as more games are starting use use more cores. And you would notice a difference between an i3 and i5.

You wouldn't notice any performance difference when using anything below a 7870 LE. There is a difference (2-5 FPS) but it's not noticeable.

Get an i5 and a 660 Ti to futureproof to BF4. i5's are about to drop out of the midrange region, and 660 TI's are going to stay there. i7 and 680 will become the new mid-high range.
You WILL see a performance difference, as anyone will if they upgrade to a newer, and better component. It's common sense.

I have personal experience with CyberPower PC, and they are actually very helpful. I bought a computer that ended up coming without case fans (I was ignorant and expected them to be included, without me paying for any,) and I contacted them with the proper information, and within 2 hours I received a reply, and they sent me some case fans because I was having high-temp issues. No charge, free 2 day shipping. They are extremely nice. I plan on ordering some parts for a new build tomorrow (you can find it in the PC Building forum.)
