Roux wrote The universe is infinite, because it's ever-expanding. It's expanding faster than the fastest thing in the universe (I think). So, like you say, the likeliness that there's a similar planet to ours is almost certain.

The universe is infinite, because it's ever-expanding.

It's not because the Universe is expanding.
The Universe is already infinite but everything in it is moving further apart.

I think the its infinent and I think there is another planet like us but not identical I think there is life on other planets just probably not got the technology we got but one day we will find out if there is or isn't I hope im around because its really interesting

B3ASTiixRAMPAG3 wrote I don't think we will ever see the edge.
I don't think we will ever catch up to it, compared to the rate of expansion.
A theory is if you were to reach out to the other side you enter hyperspace.
Into another universe, into another dimension.

Professor Michio Kaku will explain it better.

I don't go along with this theory.
I think it's going to keep expanding until the universe is unstable
and collapse in on itself, then restarting the knew life of the Universe.
I don't see why there would be any need for multiple universes.

We could live in a Universe that is infinite with an infinite time-span
but everything has a cycle.

We simply don't know enough yet.

That's my man Michio Kaku.

That guy is a genius, great video btw.

I always loved that theory of time being cyclical. You ever watch this vid [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Sith wrote Well, if you got to the edge of space and put your arm out, the tips of your fingers would be the new edge.

I believe in a finite universe that is part of the multiverse.

So your other world theory rings true in my mind and not only is there another Earth, but there's another one where you're Batman.

I agree 100%. The fact is that the universe is infinite. Although there is no way to prove it, this is just my opinion.

Well however far away the edge is, we know it is expanding. Astronomers measured the distance of things from our planet and they are getting farther away. Weird huh?

The Universe may be unlimited due to stars and their calculations!

A good theory to ponder over is to think of space like a body of something bigger. For instance. Within a cell there are tiny organelles making them work. The cells make things such as animals and plants. the plants make and animals make up/impact the plant. The plant impacts the solar system. The solar systems impact space. and then what ever is beyond space... and so on. It just is something to think about.

I believe it keeps going on and on. Never stops. I also think that there is alot of planets with sustainable life, just like Earth.

I had a weird thought a long time ago.
So space is infinite right? Or so we say. But anyway, if this is true, it's kind of hard to grasp.

Well a circle is infinite, it goes on forever. It doesn't have an end. If you follow the line, it will never break off.

So what if the universe is actually a forever expanding circle? So eventually, we would start at Earth and actually pass it at one point.

But I'm assuming it would require some sort of mass in the center of the universe for this to even be possible, but either way I believe it's sort of possible considering that fact that it could be an easy way to understand the concept of a never ending universe.

There is already many things that give idea to how big space, as our universe is. One idea is explaining the Hubble constant that explains that the universe is always expanding at a rate. Your guess is right that there is most likely another solar system that has live inhabiting conditions. Remember, because space is ever expanding, and infinite, there are trillions of billions of galaxies that withhold solar systems inside. We may never know.
