No one knows how big space is, no one has been able to travel as far as the 'edge' of space, if there is one.
What if space is an infinite amount of room, this would mean that the chances of there being another planet almost identical to ours is greatly increased, the bigger space is, the more chance that there is a planet like ours.
But then what if space is a finite amount of room, and has an end, what would be at the end?
There can't just be 'nothing'
So, will we ever find out if there is and end to space?

Well, if you got to the edge of space and put your arm out, the tips of your fingers would be the new edge.

I believe in a finite universe that is part of the multiverse.

So your other world theory rings true in my mind and not only is there another Earth, but there's another one where you're Batman.

There are confirmed planets in other universes that are thought to be able to sustain life. That have the right conditions.

I believe space is infinate, its so difficult to get your head round just how small and insugnificant we really are, and tbh it scares the hell out of me, just how short our lives are when you think about things

it really is hard to wrap your head around an infinite universe because we see our solar system as huge but if it is infinite than even the milky way is just a smallpart

You always seem to post interesting topics.

Especially if it's about space!

I think space is infinite because if you think about it space is 'nothing'. Nothing doesn't have a limit. There could be an edge of where hydrogen is available but after that it's still space. I hope I'm making sense.

There could be more than just one universe, we don't know...

If there is, then it's more than likely that there is life like us out there.

I'm pretty sure the universe is forever expanding making it infinite. But if that's not the case it's a hell of a size!

I don't think we will ever see the edge.
I don't think we will ever catch up to it, compared to the rate of expansion.
A theory is if you were to reach out to the other side you enter hyperspace.
Into another universe, into another dimension.

Professor Michio Kaku will explain it better.

I don't go along with this theory.
I think it's going to keep expanding until the universe is unstable
and collapse in on itself, then restarting the knew life of the Universe.
I don't see why there would be any need for multiple universes.

We could live in a Universe that is infinite with an infinite time-span
but everything has a cycle.

We simply don't know enough yet.

Whatever it is, whether space has an end or if it is infinite, we don't know, and can't understand.

I also don't know if we will be able to reach or find out what the answer is, but you never know.

You guys know on like Grand Theft Auto when you go so far out into the water that it just feels like you are still going but you are really not moving in location...? I wonder if that is really how it is outside of the "Solar System"

Just a thought.
