Of course they do! Give it 20 years and citizens will be limited to .22 cal Handguns

They have no right at all. They promised that it would not be infringed. Give it 20 years and ill still have my AK-47. If they do try to take our guns it will be all out war. People would hide them because 25%+ of people don't have a registered gun and that would be impossible to trace. Maybe this will be the key to getting real freedom. The USA thinks we're too afraid to fight back making us more scared of them. If we do fight back then they will get into their minds that were not just a bunch of pansies that eat McDonald's all day.

So you legally own an Ak-47?

My dad owns it, but it's the family's self defense gun. We all know how to use it.

An AK-47 is not the greatest option for self defense. It's heavy and big. A 45 cal pistol should do the trick.

PowerButton wrote Banning guns is not the solution to decrease gun violence in the US.

Banning guns of any type, will only create more of them. Cartels and Gangs will simply smuggle these in and make more money than they ever have before. Not only will the guns be un-traceable, but now Gangs and Cartels are more powerful and the US will be spending more money on the "Drug War". Let's use Brazil as an example, Brazil has fully banned guns and they now have the most gun related deaths in the entire world. Thanks to all the criminals bringing in these guns, brazil is the murder capitol. Switzerland on the other hand requires it's citizens to have guns, they have the lowest crime rate in the world.

That's my opinion.

What's yours?

The poll is incorrect, assault rifles have been banned in America since I think 1989 or 1994.

I am a current legal owner of several assault rifles. Including the well known AR-15. So please tell me again how much you know about assault rifles?

Yes this is why my family owns multiple assault rifles at the moment. Anyone without a record can own a rifle, but if you want full auto you will need something called a Full Auto License or Permit.
