So, the NBA has a new rule coming into effect where players can be fined or even suspended for flopping too much. This rule will be enforced by the referees, where they review post-game footage of the foul, and determine if they were actually fouled, or if "the player had committed an action that was intended to make the referees call the foul."
Now, the NBPA (National Basketball Players Association) is opposing the rule. The Players Association says that the flopping rule doesn't cooperate with the players in a fair way, due to the fact that they can be fined. The NBPA Executive Director Billy Hunter stated "The NBA is not permitted to unilaterally impose new economic discipline against the players without first bargaining with the union."
Here is the consequences involved in the new rule:
1st Offense: Warning
2nd Offense: $5,000
3rd Offense: $10,000
4th Offense: $15,000
5th Offense: $30,000
6th or More: A larger fine, or suspension from a small amount of games will be given.

It is good and bad.
Good, because there is way too much flopping in the NBA and it effects the outcomes of the games.
Bad, because sometimes it may look like a flop, but it isn't. Causing players to be fined for no reason.

This is just awful. The NBPA is going to go into lockout again because of this.
Let players flop if they want.
They're professinal basketball players, not highschoolers.
Flopping is done by almost every player in the NBA.

Best thing to happen, I hate when my favorite team losses because of players flopping its the most irritating thing to watch.

But you love it when your team wins by flopping...
I think its a bad idea. You will have every star player getting suspended and every regular player getting fined. Its just a way for the NBA to make more money.

I like the rule just I don't think they should be fined for it.
