Soft wrote No it hasn't.

The young population would all have so much better grades if video games were never made.

So much more athletic people.

Forty-four percent of the youth 8 to 18 also reported their friends are addicted to video games, the survey said. The average child 8 to 12 plays 13 hours of video games per week, while teens age 13 to 18 year play 14 hours of video games per week, according to the survey.

* 12- to 14-year-olds are equally as likely to play M- or AO-rated games as 15- to 17-year-olds

The world could have kept on going without video games.

P.S I'm not saying that's the case for all video game players.

I Love this. People dont want to lose what they have accomplished. Over 80% of people want to quit. But dont want to lose what the have achieved.

Yes/No.
Yes because, It helps expand the mind in historical things on some games and it helps with memory, and the most obvious thing, hand-eye co-ordination. Its better than sitting around doing nothing after you have done your homework.

No because, Some people don't bother doing any exorcises or their homework which is their parents and their own fault for not being responsible.

YES

i think it has because it has gotten to help me with my math and it has help me get friends at school because I just moved and now i have friends.

NO

I also think no because people do get addicted to games quick and it is very hard to not get addcited to them. it has became an issue to because of obessity that comes from it but it also helps them because of the kinects and stuff like that it helps because oyu have to move and the wii fit to helps out with that. Personally I was in Year 10 last year I took around 10 exams. Mainly English maybe one a month, anyway's I played xbox a lot! like seriously I played it instead of going to school. This really affected me as I was playing all day going to bed like 6am in morning. This effected my grades: end of year results whilst playing xbox - English: E Maths: D Science: E, So I woke up at 4pm in the day which was crazy (missed school) then at 4pm go on xbox till 6am next day. Which meant my sleeping was the wrong way round, sleep through day play through night/morning. My single parent didn't want anything to do with me, that's all you need to know. So I sold my xbox, got a life, parents are great now so im happy and im now in year 11 my grades are all spot on C's, So xbox did ruin my life, I currently play PS3. I stick to GTA not CoD, Cod was more of a threat to my life than a gun.

So gaming has impact on people who need to concentrate (revise for school, work etc...) but insted they play xbox, film themselves spinning a 360 and shooting! when they should be doing revision for they future insted they waste there life on gaming.

/debate end.

I think it made a bad effect on the world because almost everyone plays video games and look how they turn out.

~ Take people from the real world, OBESITY, Laziness, Bad Grades, Stress, Sore hands, Bad eye vision, Lack of exercise, Lose thinking because video games are on your mind all the time, and most importantly taking you away from your family.

Video games have made a huge impact on the world.

Many people in our current government now step up rules that prevent eating habits from going bad. This is because they can't restrict at home video games.

Also, video games have created a whole diffrent community. Filled with trolls, friendlys, and just straight up assholes.

I could go on, but I'd rather not.

I'm not typing a resume so ill try to keep this short and simple. Today has come along way from Atari and technology has advanced unbelievably. A lot of things revolve around computers and networks therefor becoming a main factor in our lives today. So that said Gaming consoles are nothing but computer OS's itself, but with a gaming console it tends to catch the younger generations attention more. The younger generation is tomorrow for the development in our world. Gaming consoles will help advance their knowledge around and about computer systems. Some may take interest and want start development in programming and such..etc Others may gain knowledge of how to operate computer systems more efficiently. This already plays a big part in the US military for drones and such. As you can see the Xbox 360 is advancing everyday adding new thing like facebook, netflix, and alot more.. I think the days of gaming consoles are soon to be over.... Yep soon enough it's going to be one computer system that does everything. But really i think we are all gonna get fat and over weight

In some cases yes in some cases no. On the yes half it's because it inspires some children/teenagers that have careers in mind for their future. The game designing industry is a very wealthy one, if they become head of say Activision or Treyarch. They help some people escape from the world of reality and become happy (Some people, not people who get mad at games) and they enjoy playing with their buddies. So that's the yes case. The no part is because some children/teenagers take it to far, bullying, violence, etc. has occurred in the past. Games like Modern Warfare 3, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty: Black ops etc. have caused young peoples lives because of people taking the game seriously and stealing weapons and killing people, innocent people. On the other hand it also doesn't help children/teenagers growth in school. It's like when people say it, "Rots your brain" it does. People who play more video games instead of studying they play their xbox/pc/ps3. To go along with bullying, when children come home to play the game and they have been bullied, the game can influence them to make poor decisions.

That's what I have to say.

Yes, In my opinion they have.
There are many positive's to video games, one of them being that the video game industry has created many jobs for the people that develope them.
And also opened up a large spectrum of schools for the people intrested in making video games.

Not only that, but with the large variety of video games, they can be fun for everyone and anyone.
The only negative that comes to mind is immature kids who take them to seriously.
But immaturity is everywhere....not just in video games.
So yes I think video games have had a positive impact on life.
