Removal of the x-clamps, removal and CLEANING of heat sinks, Remove old thermal paste to chips--------

Reapply ARTIC SILVER thermal paste to chips (thin even coating), Replace cleaned heat sinks, replace the X-clamps with the little black spacer under the clamp!!!

Its by far the cheapest way and has a high success rate as -SOMETIMES- its just the dirt and thermal paste degrading that causes RROD and E18. If this still dosnt fix then yeah it will be a cold solder joint and looks like in need of a reflow / reball

No probs - hope you get it sorted but seriously get the chips recoated with Thermal paste too and clean them heat sinks. it will extend the life and prevent future RROD - maybee NITRO can cater for this too at the same time
