Okay so I have a a friend that really hates someone and he decided to do something very stupid.

So I got a hold of a person's address and my friend got the guys number and he decided to download hungry house app and send lots of food to his house.

He used that guys name, email and phone number in the app. He ordered a lot of food. Like 20 deliveries.

Is he gonna get a trouble? The person called the police.

He could get in trouble depending on how far the dude takes it, it can somewhat be considered as harassment. Your friends an idiot but more than likely he will get by with a slap on the wrist.

If you're in the US then most likely yes. Just realized that HungryHouse is a UK based company. They almost certainly have laws protecting against this in the UK too.

It's against the law to impersonate someone else on the internet with the intent of tricking other people into believing you are that person.
It's essentially identity theft and fraud. I won't say your friend is a moron but he should probably look up whether or not his future pranks are against the law

Just to confirm, the UK does have laws against this.
Using someone else's details on the internet without their consent, like their home address, email, phone number, etc. breaches privacy laws.
It also amounts to fraud because ordering the food with the knowledge that either the person at the house or the takeaway would lose money under false pretense is fraudulent.

They will ask the delivery people whos sending all this food to the house they'll be like the apps telling us too. They find out who downloaded the app and keeps sending food then they could probably find out, but probably not.

HungryHouse is a big enough company to have their own server. Their server will store the IP information for wherever orders originate.
Your friends IP address will be in their server with the order he placed and if they find that then they can find your friends address, assuming he was connected to his home WiFi when he placed the order.
If he wasn't then i'm not sure how it works. Technologically it would surprise me if the police couldn't find out who ordered the food, but I'm not sure.

It also depends on whether or not they will bother devoting that much effort to such a small wrongdoing, given the amount of serious cyber-crime that goes on in the world.
