I think there are better things a school can do to prevent students from being injured in a school shooting or completely prevent one from happening.

It's not a terrible idea but I think they should focus on other things.

They look crap haha you can easily be shot in the side but I guess it's better than nothing.

They need to be much bigger they can get shot in the but man if its like a riot shield shape and you can hide behind it and everyone can just gang up on the gunman and bash him with them I think thats a good idea

Well I hope that is just a prototype, not every one is going to stand right above you and shoot down. Also, they always told us to stay in class if this happened, stay in class, lock the doors, shut off the lights, and don't make a peep. But those bright orange blankets are just going to make you stand out more.

To be honest, these are pretty pointless as the gunman can just shoot them in the side.
But I can it could work if you're in the right position/angle.

I think its just silly that they let the kids go to school maybe knowing that there could be a shooting..

Its like going out to work knowing you have an easy chance of getting stabbed

This could be useful, all though. They will not be fully protacted because the blanket doesn't cover their whole body. Great idea still. I'm all for it.

After sandy hook I saw this on the news.
So I guess they finally came out.

They are also making bullet proof binders, white boards, and book backs.
