I hate how teachers are so opposed to cell phones (Not all teachers are this way). They have so many things to offer. For example, I have a teacher who acts like there horrible there the devil. She has 15+ "No cell phone" papers on her class walls, will take your phone if they even see it fall out of your pocket, and she goes out of her way to make sure that no one is on there phone. Oh and she has this brilliant plane that everyone has to turn in there phone's for test and says that if the class continues to get on phones then we will have to turn them in everyday when we walk into class. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to give my phone to any one unless there is a good reason for it (Someone needs to make a call, state test, etc), i will simply put my phone in my backpack where it is out of sight and not a "distraction". I really don't think that teachers are going to pay for your phone if it is stolen or broke while in there possession. I would rather keep it where i know it will be at least somewhat safe. I have a test Thursday in the class, and when i don't give her my phone, i would bet that see will send me to the office, when there is a legitI'mate reason for it. Oh and I'm in the tenth grade.

Could just pull the card and say that my mother likes me to have my phone on my person at all times, in case of emergency, class or not, which could go both ways, and how do they know you have your phone on you to take? They cant just pat you down for your phone if you tell them "I left it at home" or "Forgot it".

Well i'm not going to lie to the teacher, i will just simply say that i don't want to give them my phone and make some excuse like you said. Thanks for the idea, but why would i pull the card if they aren't taking my phone?

I would say. Would you like to take responsibility if something happens and my parents are unable to get ahold of me?

What S30 is saying, what if one of your family is in danger or is hurt, or needs you urgently, and you don't have your phone.

Then, it is there fault for you not having your phone on you.

Just do what my brother did, he had a little crappy phone and when she found him on his phone he gave her the crappy one then proceeded to go on his phone and then if she tried to say anything after that he would just say she had his phone already. It actually worked for him so maybe you could do it

I had one of my French teachers try to take away my phone all the time and I just made up bs, one thing I said was "I need it because I'm texting my boss about work" when I was on Twitter lmao
