Tactical first person shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm is finally making its way to console later this year, publisher Focus Home Interactive has announced.

Originally announced for consoles all the way back in 2016(!) the game has been available on PC for the last year, and promises a "realistic depiction of modern warfare focusing on lethal close-quarters combat, objective-oriented multiplayer and cooperative gameplay."

You'll be able to play co-operatively and competitively with other players over a series of war-torn maps based in the Middle East, and teamwork will be critical to survival as you take on various objectives in-between skirmishes. You can check out the release date trailer for yourself below, and Insurgency Sandstorm will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 25th August, 2020.
