When you find the rebreather, take it with you! It doesn't matter which characters went down the hole and which stayed back at the radio. After taking the rebreather, complete all QTEs successfully so that Olson (pirate boss) doesn't detect you. If he detects you, can you still be able to take the rebreather but it results in an extra QTE. As long as you end up with the rebreather by your side in the Junior chapter you are good to proceed.
