Warcraft 3 has various races that have different play-styles accordingly. In this guide we will be discussing a very sturdy and rather mindless race: The Orcs. Learn How to Play Orcs in Warcraft 3 Reforged with this guide.

Orcs have one purpose; and that is to kill anyone that dares to oppose them. In Warcraft 3, Orcs have raw and untamed power that needs to be utilized correctly.

The Orcs cultivated a quiet society, worked in their own lands and minded their own business, but they were corrupted by the chaos magic of the Burning Legion and were made into the unstoppable Horde.

How to Play Orcs in Warcraft 3 Reforged
The Orc race in WC3 Reforged uses Peons to gather Gold from Gold Mines and Lumber from Trees.

These workers aren't exactly anything special, but if you couple your Peons up with Orc Burrows, they become very effective at defending your base and hiding themselves in good spots for ambushes.

Your Orcs in Warcraft 3 will rely heavily on the placement of your burrows so make sure to place them in optimal positions so that your Peons can benefit from them and give you maximum output in terms of resources.

Place your Burrows behind in your base so they will be safe from enemy attacks.

Pros

Resistant to Damage
Orcs are naturally strong and can tank a considerable amount of damage along with the ability to use spells that will sustain your Orc groups. This race is able to stretch its survivability to the maximum and gives maximum output in terms of damage.

Strong Heroes
The Orc Heroes are very strong and each have their own uniqueness that makes them suitable to specific situations. The Orc Race, in our opinion has the best combination of heroes available.

Effective Mid-Game
You will find that most of your Orc Units will be available (All except one) at Tier 2, which will allow you to hold the advantage in the battlefield prior to the end-game as compared to your enemies.

Lock-Down Advantage
Orcs can easily lock down enemy units and harass them to make them vulnerable to damage from someone like Blademaster. Various abilities can be used to hold down enemies and guarantee kills.

Voodoo Lounge
The items in the Orc Shop tends to all of the Orc's weaknesses. You will find great healing salves, the Tiny Great Hall, and a powerful Orb along with other items that will enhance your troops' efficiency.

Cons

Weak in the Late Game
Compared to the other races that have extremely strong Tier 3 Units, the Orc race sadly falls a bit short. If you want high chances of sweeping the floor with your enemy, you need to make sure you destroy the opponent's base before Tier 3.

Weak Buildings
You might find your Burrows easily destroyed which will definitely set your game back a little. Orcs' supply buildings do not have any sort of armor that gives them durability.

Your production buildings will very easily be targeted by enemies in order to slow down your progress.

Weak to Magic
Your Orcs will take A LOT of damage from Magic which makes them quite easily controllable by other mass casters such as the Sorceresses, Priests and the Talons.

Weak Against Aerial Units
Orcs will have a hard time dealing with aerial units as they have less tools to deal with the like. Gargoyles and other flying enemies with low hit points are easy to deal with, but enemies like Frost Wyrms become extremely tedious to take down.

Best Heroes
We have listed the WC3 Orc faction heroes from best to worst on the basis of their overall stats below. For more details about heroes, we also have a specific Heroes Tier guide.

You will find Blademaster at the top of the list due to his high damage output and the fact that he becomes a nightmare for the enemy to deal with.

Blademaster
Blademaster deals out a significant amount of damage using Critical Strike. With the addition of this absolute beast, your team's over-all damage output will skyrocket.

You can use Healing Salves to combo with Blademaster. Every second of his damage counts, and with the ability to prolong Blademaster's life, you can efficiently wipe out the enemy team by using the right abilities.

Blademaster is a pain to deal with with his Wind Walk. Due to this stealthy ability, you can gain the jump on your enemies and steal all their experience and gold at the right moment.

    Damage: 41-63
    Armor:10
    Strength: 36
    Agility: 39
    Intelligence: 36
    HP: 1000
    Mana: 540

Shadow Hunter
Shadow Hunter is a support hero who will make sure your troops can survive extremely tense battles. Shadow Hunter's healing wave is very strong and will further strengthen your Orc troops.

As mentioned above, Blademaster is truly a formidable hero, and adding on top of the Healing Salves, the support of Shadow Hunter; Blademaster becomes simply unstoppable unless countered properly.

It's not just healing Shadow Hunter excels in, but with Hex and Serpent Wards you can become much more upfront with this hero. Hex locks down specific units and focuses on them; preventing them from using any items.

Serpent Wards allow you to lay siege to a specific area, these aren't the most effective while fighting enemies randomly in the battlefield; but if used correctly while destroying the enemy base, you can completely take over the entire base with little effort.

    Damage: 35-41
    Armor: 8
    Strength: 33
    Agility: 33
    Intelligence: 39
    HP: 925
    Mana: 585

Tauren Chieftain
Tauren Chieftain is the third best hero in the Orc Line-Up. Tauren's combo using his abilities Chain Lightning and Shock Wave can take out a considerable portion of the health of your enemies.

Add on top of that War Stomp which will lock down parts of the enemy's army, preventing their damage and allowing you to seize the opportunity to deal as much damage as you can.

You can combine Tauren's AoE stun with Shadow Hunter and Blademaster to dish out tons of damage. The enemy won't see what hit them in the slightest.

    Damage: 55-65
    Armor: 6
    Strength: 53
    Agility: 23
    Intelligence: 25
    HP: 1425
    Mana: 390

Far Seer
Far Seer is often picked in early-game and is used to harass your enemies. You can delay the enemy's builds and prevent them from creeping using Far Seer in Warcraft 3.

    Damage: 48-52
    Armor: 6
