This is where you'll spend the majority of your time, working towards the 20,000 point high score. The easiest method is to use two controllers, and simply have Player 1 beat up Player 2 with kicks (100 points each kick). Whenever Player 2 dies, kick them back to the left of the screen so as to not progress the level, summoning more enemies. When Player 2 loses all of their lives, simply press start on the second controller to continue. Do this until you're past the high score, then progress the game to the next enemies and let yourself get killed.

Alternatively, if you lack a second controller, you can still get the high score pretty easily by abusing the save states available in all Arcade Archives games. Basically, you want to beat a group of enemies (or one at a time if you're having trouble) while taking as little damage as possible. Ideally, you beat an enemy without taking any damage, pause the game using the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , and overwrite your previous save state. Any time you take too much damage, pause the game and choose Game reset. This will send you back to your save state so you can hopefully do better the next time, without ever losing any lives and slowly progressing towards the high score.
