Some games play audio through the DualShock 4's built-in speaker. If a game supports this feature and you're not hearing any sound, make sure the speaker's volume is turned up. To do this:
Steps to fix this problem
Step 1: From the PS4's Home Screen, press up on the d-pad to get to the Function area.
Step 2: Go to [Settings] > [Devices] > [Controllers].
Step 3: With the [Volume Control] option highlighted, press right to make sure the controller's volume is turned up. You should hear a sound effect from the controller as you press left and right.

If you have tried the above steps and don't hear any audio in the menu, try resetting your controller.
