E3 2016: Battlefield 1 Will Include Dynamic Weather, Beta this Summer

4.6
During Electronic Arts’ Pre-E3 EA Play Press Conference, the DICE shared a few more details about Battlefield 1.

First of all, the game will include dynamic weather, forcing players to adapt to the different conditions. On top of that there will be controllable “ultimate vehicles,” the behemoths, including airships, that will grant domination of air, land and sea.

EA has confirmed that there will be an open beta this summer so stay tuned for more details.

Senior Producer Aleksander Grøndal shared a comment in the press release:
“With Battlefield 1 we’re looking to deliver the most dynamic shooter ever. We want to make sure that no battle is ever the same for the players, and with the introduction of Operations, we’re giving the fans variety for game play and creativity. Plus, with the new Behemoths, only in Battlefield 1 can you bring an Air Ship to a dogfight.”

I'm hyped for this game. Way more than cod I can tell you that.

I am absolutely stoked for this game, especially after the game play with all of the YouTubers and Celebrities. The destruction was amazing, possible better than BFBC2 which is something everyone was wanting them to bring back. The graphics were also stunning, just about everything about this game lived up to the hype. The game looked so good for not being "polished," I think the launch will be amazing and so will the whole game.

I love the idea of dynamic weather as playing the same maps does get dull overtime.

Looks like EA are throwing everything they have at BF1 to try and take advantage of call of duty's decline. Really like the sound of the dynamic weather although I'd like to see what it's like in practice.

Half-Blood-Prince I have always enjoyed cod more than battlefield but so far i feel like i will be playing battlefield a bit more. Im not going to judge till i see some more content from call of duty!

I agree, I always find myself playing Call of Duty much longer than Battlefield. This game looks like it could change that, waiting on Multiplayer from both COD & BF.

Really looking forward to this game.

Watching the gameplay with the rain effects really brings a good atmosphere to the game. It makes it a much more dull and realistic fight; it really feels like it's a war.
