Minecraft Battle mini-game arrives June 21st

4.6
The previously mentioned Battle mini-game for Minecraft: Console Edition arrives on June 21st. Battle mimics the popular fan-made Hunger Games mode on PC, and you can check out the trailer below.

As mentioned above, Battle mimics the Hunger Games mode that’s present on a lot of community run Minecraft servers. It supports up to eight players online, but four player split-screen’s also available.

The game starts off by spawning players in one of three different maps, each player facing towards chests with items they’ll need. As soon as players are given the green light to go, they’ll need to rush.

Each chest contains randomized items to help whoever finds them, and they’ll definitely give you an early advantage over other players. However, the chests will fill up again with new items as the game goes on, so not all is lost if you miss out on them.

While this is a free update and comes with three free maps, more maps will become available for $2.99 each.

Sega Seems ever since Microsoft acquired Minecraft, it seems to be heading more and more to the paid DLC which is sad to see really.

How is it any different than servers having donation ranks. Its an incentive, only Microsoft is saying if you want to play "vip" maps you have to pay for "vip." That's the way I see it. Who knows, they might make it so you can make your own map too or play on others.
And honestly the game is $20 and comes out with a hell of a lot more content than call of duty has which people still buy every year at $60 not to mention the weapon skins that people spend 2.99 on.

I play on minecraft time to time on console with a few buds but this seems stupid to me. Especially charging money for extra maps. But i guess i cant judge too much since its not out yet.

This seems like it will be fun, maybe a reason to play Minecraft again.

This will be a great addition. Minecraft gets boring on console but I can see this will be pretty fun. Hopefully they add more game modes and the ability for people to make their own with the tools on this one.
