Nintendo NX Has 6 to 8 GB of DDR4 Memory, Capable of Upscaling to 4K

4.4
When we finally get to see the NX is anybody’s guess, but for now, the rumors keep on coming. This week’s batch of rumors appears to be more believable and credible than the previous few ones we’ve been getting, if only because they have been posted by a source that has been verified as legitimate by the moderators on Reddit’s NX subReddit.

And what exactly do these rumors say? They say a lot, really- they confirm that the GPU of the console will in fact be an AMD one. They confirm that the NX will have 6-8GB of DDR4 RAM. And they also confirm that the console can output in 4K resolution- it probably will not be powerful enough to render images in 4K for any but the most simplistic games, but it should at least be able to upscale games to 4K output, much like the PS4K is rumored to be doing.

There will be no Friend Codes on the NX, either, but it seems as though the console will somehow restrict who you can add by only permitting you to add people you actually know. How Nintendo actually implement that remains to be seen. The NX is rumored to be getting an official (long overdue) announcement some time soon- common consensus pegs it to be near the end of this month. Hopefully, common consensus is right in this case, because frankly, all of these rumors are now getting ridiculous. As usual, this information should be taken with a grain of salt.

They are really stepping up their game to try and keep up with the competitors, this should make for some great games.

This is pretty insane! I can see that they are trying to keep up with basic computers! nowadays.
