Bungie Looking For PlayStation 3 Engineer

4
Bungie, the company behind the Halo franchise, is looking for a "Software Development Engineer in Tests" and an "Engine Programmer" who are familiar with the PlayStation 3, signaling its move from Xbox 360 exclusivity. Since the Bungie/Activision deal was announced, the plan was alwas for a multiplatform release, and now, it's happening.

Bungie says the applicants must have a strong understanding of the "Playstation 3 SDK along with experience with client testing, automation and debugging," and the ad for the Programmer reads:

"Bungie is seeking a relentless code warrior, devoted to the pursuit of programming excellence and of furthering our ongoing quest for world domination. Bring your thirst for knowledge and PS3 might and fuse it with our talented team; together we shall forge a dread Engine that will quake lands (of many architectures) underfoot."

We have no further information on what Bungie is planning (it could be anything), but that won't stop speculation that the company plans to bring the Halo franchise to the PlayStation 3. Update: Not going to happen -- the rights to Halo are owned by Microsoft.

Whatever Bungie has up its sleeve, the company says it's planning ahead for the next decade... so expect something huge.

Bungie (in my opinion) is the best game development company out there. And the best part is ITS EXCLUSIVE TO XBOX. They cant take that away from xbox owners/halo lovers. It will obviously give them a boost in money but a downgrade in love from their fans. Making bungie a multi-platform developer is a bad idea!
