Black Ops 3 mod tools close to alpha in rare Call of Duty map editor

Call of Duty rarely fronts a map editor, but the faithful will soon be rewarded for their patience.

Black Ops 3‘s long-promised mod tools are drawing ever closer.

According to Treyarch’s development director, the studio is preparing to launch a closed alpha test for its first map editor since 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War.

No word yet on broader release or how to get in on the action, unfortunately. The good news is we’re pretty much on schedule according to the timeline Treyarch supplied when announcing mod support for Black Ops 3.

I don't play BO3 but a Map editor would actually be quite sick, Its a shame that I don't play games on PC I'm on console.

Not a big fan of this call of duty if I'm honest with you but it will be interesting to see what people do.
