PS4 System Update 3.50 Adds Option to Hide Screenshot Icon and more

4.7
PS4 System Software Update 3.50 “Musashi” is currently being beta tested, and new features are continuing to be revealed by those who have access to it. Below you can see a feature that lets you hide the screenshot icon that pops up when you use the share feature, and that often ruins the following screenshot when you’re taking multiple, as showcased by Twitter user SoK.

While the software update is technically under NDA, this can’t be considered much of a leak, since it was retweeted by the man in charge of the update, Manager of Product Planning Toshimasa Aoki.

Speaking of Aoki-san, he also had words of praise for the idea to add a “Saved Data” option to the game menu you can access from the tile on the dashboard, echoing Worldwide Studio President Shuhei Yoshida’s own appreciation.

While we don’t know if the feature will be added in the near future, this is probably an indication that it will at least be considered, which is good, since it would be very convenient.

Incidentally, Aoki-san also mentioned that he will keep listening to feedback, and encouraged users to keep tweeting it to him.
