Steam reaches new concurrent user record

Yesterday, Steam averaged a peak of over 12 million concurrent users.

At roughly 8pm GMT, on Sunday, January 3, the number of concurrent users on Steam reached 12,332,504 – a new record for the PC’s foremost digital
marketplace.

This is the highest so far for Steam, which broke the 10M record in June of last year. The record number was achieved in the last day of Steam’s big winter sale, when most people decided to make some final discounted purchases.

Ok tell us why anyone would have more than one account logged in. This record is for the number of people online at one time not the number of people registered.

Yea only one account can be logged in at a time, and even if it was possible to be logged in twice there isn't a benefit to it, so kind of pointless
