Xbox Two will come before PS5

Rumours indicate that gamers will most likely see the Xbox Two in action before PlayStation 5. It was confirmed recently that the Microsoft will be working on (or may possibly even already be working on) a successor to the Xbox One. Everyone is calling it the Xbox Two.

The report was confirmed by Microsoft Xbox division head Phil Spencer in an official statement. "I fully expect that you'll see another console from us [...] Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future. I'm 100% committed to that." Spencer told Tech Radar.

According to N4BB, there is reason to believe that Microsoft may even launch the Xbox Two at least one year earlier that Sony's next console, the PlayStation 5.

The confirmation of the release of the Xbox Two follows the noise surrounding the announcement of the development of the PlayStation 5, which is pegged for a 2020 launch, and the anticipation of the Nintendo NX, which users may see in the months to come.

With the rise of Smart TV's and 4k resolution, Xbox Two will reportedly have support to make playing games in 4k resolution possible. The Xbox One currently does not have the capacity for 4k resolution yet. It is also further believed that the upcoming Microsoft gaming console will have backwards compatibility for games released for Xbox One.

Also most discussed is the plans of PlayStation to render discs obsolete for its next gaming console, and reports indicate that Xbox Two may be doing the same as well. Games will most probably be distributed via online stores by the time the next batch of consoles are released.

Microsoft and Sony have long been in a battle for supremacy in the gaming industry. Official sales estimates indicate that Sony has distributed 30.2 million consoles in total, whereas Xbox trails behind with 10 million units.

Why don't they just focus on their last product? The one isn't perfect.

I know they are pushing to get rid of disks but I still don't think the majority of people are ready for that. I also hope they don't release the Xbox two to soon or else I personally wont bother getting it as I feel that I wouldn't have got long enough use out of my Xbox one.
