Sony Trolled PS4 Gamers With A Perfect Crash Bandicoot T-Shirt At PSX

Yesterday, when Shawn Layden took the stage at the PlayStation Experience keynote to present, you could almost hear a collective gasp from the audience- the dude was wearing a Crash Bandicoot shirt. Surely this, just the latest in a long line of (inadvertent?) Crash related teases from Sony, meant something? Was today going to be the day when we would finally get the announcement of a new Crash game on the PlayStation?

As it turned out, that didn’t happen. If the Crash T-shirt was a tease, no one, including Sony, knows what it was a tease for. In a question and answer session that was aired live on Twitch with Greg Miller’s PS I Love You, Sony Worldwide Studios’ Shuhei Yoshida admitted that he had no idea why Layden had worn the shirt he had worn- Yoshida hadn’t even known that Layden would be wearing it.

Not bashing CB or Sony, CB was my favorite game series growing up by a long shot. However, it should stay in the past. Any attempt at making a new CB would be laughable at best.

Or they could do it anyway and prove me wrong. Doubt it though, they're smarter than that.
How would it be laughable? There are other developers that can easily use the same concepts/etc as Naughty Dog used in Crash Bandicoot. This is just like the series Sly Cooper that was abandoned by Sucker Punch after Sly 3. Another dev stepped in and you know used the same concepts as the previous games and the fourth game turned out to be the best in the series.


But we probably wont ever see a new Crash game anyway. The series is done for.


The first comment was aids. They've literally never heard of the term 'unbiased.' People with subjective opinions have irrelevant opinions. If they made it, it would be great for all of the fans that still play the old games. (Yes, we do exist.) And kids of this generation will get a chance to play. Platform games may be decreasing in popularity, but that doesn't mean to say it'll be "utter shite." I doubt we'll see another game, but I'm hoping we do! So glad they've remade Ratchet & Clank.
