I've heard of this, but with the sudden surge of MOBA and MOBA-like games hitting the market, I sure hope they have something unique to bring to the table with this game, otherwise it's not going to be successful.

I'd have to agree actually. I played Smite for awhile on Xbox One, and it was just very repetitive. Not a big fan of MOBAs.

SMITE is a pay to win. **** paying for heroes. Might as well play Dota 2 where all of the heroes are free. You can spend the same money as a SMITE player, and have way cooler things.

Smite is not a p2w game. You can easily buy any god you want with in game currency and if you really wanted too you can buy every god with in game currency. The only thing people really spend money on is cosmetics.

if you have an option to buy characters with real money it is free to play. I haven't played the game since it was in alpha but it takes a while to grind enough in game currency to buy a single character. It is pay to win like LoL is. Its far from the worse pay to win system but it is still pay to win. I personally won't play a game where you can buy game play altering items with real money. I hope this micro transactions/pay to win dies soon. Its a cancer.

It doesn't actually take that long to buy gods? Before I bought the god pack I bought about 10 out of the sixty something gods that were available from just a couple days worth of playing. I ended up buying the god pack because of how many hours I've put into the game. I'd spend $30 on a free game that'll take me away from most of the $60 games I've bought. Smite is no where near p2w. Every god is op asf. The one they give you for free is the most op hunter in the game plus there's a free rotation of 10 gods every week.
