Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is 60fps on PS4, 30 on Xbox One

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare’s console versions are not similar.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, the first-person sword slasher that’s been a hit on PC, comes out today on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, the game’s frame-rate on Xbox One is half of what it is on PlayStation 4.

Developer Torn Banner confirmed to Eurogamer that it runs at 60 frames-per-second on PS4, and a disappointing 30 frames-per-second on Xbox One.

The version coming to consoles is a very similar to the PC one, including the 24-player multiplayer. It does however come with an extra Horde mode. It’s priced $20.

Italian I own both consoles (to ward off console wars)

PS4 running at 60 and Xbox One running at 30. Something seems fishy.
Xbox One has a new architecture compared to Xbox 360. And PS4 architecture is close to PS3. I'm assuming it is developers who don't know how to code the Xbox One and take advantage of the 7 votes available, that was just released available for PS4.

Or just favoritism, or who knows maybe the ps4 is gonna struggle with those 60, and you'll get a stable 30 for xbox

I don't know where you're getting your info, but consoles are x86.

I could be mistaking the word, I'm not 100% familiar with the terms. But when the Xbox came out it was different to code, and that was from developers and even Microsoft. So until he developers learned how to correctly optimize games on Xbox one games might have less fps and graphics on Xbox one over ps4. I remember them saying that, architecture might not be the word I'm looking for.

This game looks awful. But, doesnt that just mean Xbox (might) have less issues with FPS lag? Is this really such a bad thing?

Sony defiantly paid... A little obvious

This has to be a bribe stunt, Chivalry isn't a demanding game...

Not very interested in this game, but I highly doubt PS4 has 60 over XB1's 30.
