Wii U Was Target’s Best-Selling Black Friday Item Online

4.6
Earlier this week we reported that Nintendo’s three-year old home console was making waves at Target, placing in the top three selling items during Black Friday. However, according to an official press release from Target, Wii U was the best-selling item at Target.com:

Gaming consoles were popular in stores and online, including Nintendo Wii U, which was the top selling item on Target.com.
Beating the Wii U, as mentioned in the previous article, was the iPad, boasting a sale every second of Black Friday (which would mean anywhere from 61,200 to 86,400 units). Additionally, while the in-store to online ratio of sales was not given, Target boasted that Black Friday 2015 was their largest online shopping day ever, with pick-up orders performing 35% over 2014’s Black Friday.

The Wii U has managed to sell 550,000 total in North America since Spring 2015. Therefore, if they did manage to sell close to Target’s Black Friday iPad numbers at one retailer in one day, it would be a limited success, especially considering Wii U’s dwindling sales. Without a doubt, this month’s NPD numbers will be an exciting one to watch.

Robbed Well this was unexpected. Don't know anyone who even owns this console.

Usually,

Younger kids are the ones buying stuff like this online.
It's over 100$ but under then 200$ so it's a pretty good deal.

And the games being 40$ is just even better

bosox3 Doesnt shock me, now that the Wii U's are now able to hack. (old dash but close on new dash from what ive been hearing)
As long as it has the older dash..which most of them prob should as long as you dont jump on the new bundles.

No... parents bought these consoles for their children... not to hack them. lol Why would you even want to hack the wii? It's not like a xbox or ps where you could make thousands of $$$ for modded lobbies.

How do you know who bought them or for what reason? Just that they were bought.
Your comment is laughable becuase it clearly shows you dont know what you are talking about.

Because, not everyone wants to hack a console to make money? Just because you think that there's only one reason for modding doesn't make it true. Open that closed mind of yours please. There are countless reasons to put homebrew on a console, I haven't done any modded lobbies since MW2 was all the rage, but I still keep the rust off of my JTAG and keep her polished up. I probably use my JTAG more than my Xbox One, and I haven't updated it since GTAV came out.

UZl I believe it was the best selling because of the amount of non violent games on it. Lets be real, the most popular games is the Super Mario series. If i had a kid, i would have gotten him the Wii U as well. Besides, its cheaper.

Build a pc and buy a Wii U and you're set.
