Black Ops 3 Mysterious Text Input Menu Secret Uncovered

4.6
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has a mysterious menu that can be accessed by inputting a specific button combination in the game. This secret menu was first discovered by YouTube user Ron Scottznbrgr and he later shared his discovery on reddit. This led to a whole bunch of users trying to input codes to see the outcome and it appears that they have finally uncovered the purpose of this text input menu.

So what exactly was the purpose of this text input menu, that was randomly tucked away in the Data Vault and only accessible through a specific button combination? It turns out that it was actually a cheat menu that can be used to input various cheats. The confirmation that it was a cheat menu can be seen by inputting the code “MANIFEST”, which sets the Fabrication Kits to 100 and it cannot be used again. You can see it in the screenshot below.

If you want to access this cheat menu, you will need to input the following button combination in Data Vault menu, as explained by user Ron_Scottznbrgr.

There are actually 2 button combinations. Hold R2/RT, and hit Square/X, then Triangle/Y, OR Hit Square/X, then Triangle/Y, then press R2/RT. No need to hold all of the shoulder buttons.

The thing that makes it hard to confirm new codes is that we never get any sound/confirmation that the code was a success. So as it stands, there is a lot of trial and error involved in order to uncover all the working codes.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is out now on PC, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS3.

Kind of interesting, I wanna try it out later. Kinda feel like it shouldn't be in the game.

Robbed Are these supposed to be implemented?

That's what I'm thinking . Lol

I mean they released the game i dont see why they would just leave i there if they didnt want it.

When developing stuff I have added stuff and left it and worked over it. Well I go back and even if its hidden I would like to remove it. Well I delete it and boom other stuff gets removed with it. So it might be easier to leave it because if they go to take it out it might of screwed other stuff up. Lol they left the missions for single player files still in the game. This could also be a development in the works. Hide it, release the game, uncover it and start working and publish in a upcoming update.

Why would someone get banned for something that's implemented into the game, not only that, it effects campaign only. I Don't see them banning anyone, only patching it if its actually not supposed to be in the game.

Such a weird thing to even try and find.

Its mad the way people find things like this, People will probably get banned for this.
