Call of Duty: Black Ops II still has 12 million monthly active users

Activision will be confident ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops III's impending release. Recent announcements from Activision and EA have revealed that 2012’s Black Ops II receives more monthly active users than EA’s previous two Battlefield titles combined.

The average figure of 12 million monthly active users was taken over the last quarter, which is incredibly impressive considering the game is only available on PC and last-gen consoles.

Among the accolades that the ageing FPS can boast are a place on Steam’s top 100 most-played games list.

Arguably Activision’s favourite piece of news will have come from competitor EA. The Battlefield publishers recently announced combined monthly active user base for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline of 6 million. That’s half the users that the three-year-old Call of Duty: Black Ops II can claim.

Which is why they wont be releasing an xbox one or Ps4 version. Because they want to sell out black ops 3, then maybe at some point when black ops 2 is dying. Theyll have a black ops 2 edition for the next gen consoles up for grabs.

because it is one of the better call of duty games along with MW2 Cod4, and Cod waw, doesnt matter how good the graphics and FPS are on a game if ther game is bad its bad graphics and fps dont make a game good.

I wouldn't go that far. Black ops 3 is nothing like Black ops 2.

I still play it. Its way better than any other newer CoD like AW and Ghosts. Its heeps of fun. Cant wait till BO3 though!
