Destiny’s next microtransaction item could be subclass level boosters

4.3
Players digging around in Destiny’s new patch files have found some new items that offer some pretty meaty bonuses, so where are they?

IGN reported on the new items that have been discovered in the patch files.

Valorous Light increases the chance of weapon and armour drops in the King’s Fall raid and Heuristic Light will give you an additional Moldering Shard – also in the Kng’s Fall Raid.

Creative director Luke Smith has denied that they will be flogging these buffs for silver on twitter.

However, he didn’t address the third item that was found. The Subclass Infusion fully levels your equipped subclass. Combined with the fact that a forum thread discussing these items – and whether they would be something players would have to pay for – was locked down, it’s no wonder that the conclusions being drawn are that this is the next item we’ll be able to spend silver on.

But nothing has been confirmed yet, so sit tight for more updates. Maybe have a browse of the emotes and see if you’ve got enough cash lying around to buy them all.

Yay, just what we all wanted. More microtransactions.. jk, won't be buying these when you can. Seems like its the new norm to make people pay to get good things.

UZl This sucks. When will it be the time when a new game is released without microtransactions

When making video games is no longer a business.

Micro-transactions ruin games imo, Like just let people do it themselves

pyroboy926 I can see this getting bad real quick. And even though games like CoD have micro transactions, they're only for camo's and other visual stuff, nothing that makes the game pay to win.

The past 2 CoDs, the P2W aspect is there. You had the Ripper on Ghosts that was just broken OP. Then then LMG/SMG on AW is really good as well.

This will just be the start for Destiny. The massive hype at the start for a terrible game ruined it. They lost so much money. They're gonna start throwing out expacs and micros to make some more money from the already dying fan base before all the new and better games come out.

Excuse me while I throw up my entire stomach. I am so tired of micro transactions. Thankfully they aren't gamebreaking usually but when a company waves small purchases in my face and I have the money for it my immense debt builds.

Can not see it being a huge issue.

Never played this game, so I'm sure what he means. But I have heard a lot of great things about this game!

Honestly, as a daily destiny player. I find that the sub class leveling isn't going to be an issue. Some don't have the time to grind XP to level all the way, in my opinion. Now, if they start the "Pay to win" transactions as we see in AW, this could be a problem.

I've had a lot of fun playing Destiny lately.
