Twitch app arrives on PlayStation systems this fall

A full-featured Twitch App is coming to PlayStation systems and it will allow users to watch any Twitch channel from their device.

The app will allow users to access all of their favorite games and broadcasters across PlayStation 3, PS4 and Vita.

This includes the ability to follow, or interact with any broadcaster or game live on Twitch as well as access live and recorded videos of games and events such as eSports.

There will even be a special section available to discover PS4 specific broadcasters.

Twitch.tv is long overdue considering competing platforms like the Xbox One, iOS, Android, and even Roku all have Twitch apps. It won’t change much for broadcasters, as the PS4 launched

PlayStation users can expect the app, which works much like Twitch.tv does, to launch sometime in October.

Twitch has some crazy new features coming up.
Will be interesting to see the competition from Twitch > YouTube and YouTube > Twitch about the new uploading VODs

This took them long enough lol. Not sure why it took them so long but must have been a contract or something.
