Microsoft Closing XNA Creator’s Club and Xbox Live Indie Games Service

4.7
Microsoft has announced that it’s shutting down its XNA Creator’s Club and the Xbox Live Indie Games service on the Xbox 360.

ID@Xbox head, Chris Charla, stated that they won’t accept any new subscriptions or membership renewals. Although, Microsoft decided to give current members some time to finish their games, till September 9 of next year, to be exact. In addition to that, current members will get a permanent Windows Developer account.

However, don’t worry about your games, since all of your purchased XBLIG titles will still be playable, and re-downloadable.

It will happen sooner or later. Within the next few years not many people will be on the Xbox 360 or PS3 anymore.

GearzyTV Trying so hard to push the xbox one to me. Make the majority of 360 titles backwards compatible. I purchased my xbox one and took it back the same day I got it because it didn't play 360 titles which is a must in my books. If they keep putting of the real problem for me, I have no problem using my USB 360 controller on PC from then on.

Well your books are stupid. almost no consoles has been backward comp for the last 30 years so its pretty stupid to expect it. MS is doing everyone a huge favor by allowing it on the xbone

Sang I'm not really bothered by this.

Me neither. Never really care for indie games on 360. Most of them were really bad.
