one of my favorite youtubers his humour is great

I have watched a few videos of his but it just didn't entertain me at all and I moved on to other things. I don't know I am just not that much of person that watches gaming videos and let's plays. I would much rather play then watch someone else play.

I would disagree. His subscriber count is increasing a lot because he is a bandwagon trend. Since he is the most subscribed on YouTube, more people will subscribe to him just for that. I was subscribed to him for some time but then he just got annoying to me and his content was spamming my subscription box.
