Rainbow Six: Siege has been delayed into December

4.5
Rainbow Six: Siege has been delayed into December, Ubisoft has announced.

The delay is due to feedback received and based on our own internal tests.

“We felt there are adjustments and improvements we can make, including improving the co-op experience across all game modes, weapon and gadget balancing, as well as menu and interface navigation,” said the firm.

“We’re taking a little more time to make these changes, and we think it’s the right call.”

The closed beta for Rainbow Six: Siege will still start on September 24 as planned, and the additional time will allow for further testing on the infrastructure and matchmaking.

It will now be released on December 1.

Rainbow Six: Siege was originally slated for release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 13.

If you pre-order on Xbox One, you get instant access to the Xbox 360 versions of Rainbow Six Vegas and Vegas 2 via backwards compatibility.

I've come to the point where a release date isn't a release date anymore. I expect, just a month before it comes out, to hear something about it being released into the next quarter of the year. Typical. Game Devs are too used to the ability to make a major f*ck up last minute on their games. 'The game is ready to go.' 'Well, what we said last week..That was a metaphor. There are still plenty of things to take care of. It's hard making these as good as possible.'

I say, don't even announce the game until it's in bug testing. Then set the release for one year. Guess what? The game IS done at the point and you have a year to find major bugs that spring up with the last minute rush coding Devs do to fill their pockets with money.

-Deano Good. I'm glad to see a delay instead of releasing a half-broken game like the majority of Ubisofts publishments.

I'd much rather wait and get a decent game than have something half-finished.

This is unacceptable, I am sick and tired of every **** game being delayed, at this point I think its a dangerous trend to not only hype people longer for the release but also boosting the consumers confidence in its unknown but potentially better quality. A delay is not a good thing in general, maybe games like AC Unity were intentionally released in an unfinished state to exploit us for future delayed games to be seen as a good thing, think about it.
