Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 PC features confirmed - 4K support, FOV

At gamescon 2015, Black Ops 3 developer Treyarch took to it to talk about the PC version of the game. Confirmed features for the PC build included the ability to adjust your field of view and 4k monitor support.

Take a look at all following confirmed features below:

  • 100% ranked dedicated servers
  • Two player split screen
  • Controller support
  • Strong GPU scaling, SLI and Crossfire optimizations, and 4K monitor support at full 4K resolution
  • FOV slider
  • Framerate cap slider
  • Improved text chat features available in-game and also now in lobbies.
  • Steam Trading Cards
  • Treyarch Anti-Cheat


The minimum specs that were revealed back in May, were brought up again during gamescon 2015, which you can find below.

  • Processor: Intel Core i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 810 @ 2.60 GHz

  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 @ 1GB / ATI Radeon HD 6970 @ 1GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is coming to PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 6.

I dont currently have a Gaming PC, I may be getting one soon and this will be brilliant 4K FOV, Nice IMO.

Would 4K be too much? I know a better looking game is nice but 1080p already looks incredible enough.

I am really curious how 2 player split screen will work? Like will you connect a controller and then use a normal keyboard and mouse? That's kinda cool. FOV is always a nice thing in COD on PC. 4K is pretty cool but need a good monitor for it.
