Xbox One could get mouse and keyboard support

If Microsoft enabled Windows 10 PCs to stream games to Xbox One, keyboard and mouse support would definitely follow.

When Windows 10 releases in the coming days, anyone who owns an Xbox One will be able to stream Xbox One games to any PC running the new OS. As for the other way around, Microsoft always said that it’s something it’s looking into.

Of course for that to be fully functional, Xbox One will need to fully support keyboard and mouse as an input device. Xbox boss Phil Spencer knows this, and has recently reiterated on Twitter that he likes the idea, but doesn’t have anything to announce.

He did however add that should it happen, keyboard and mouse support would need to be there.

Keyboard and mouse support could be added to Xbox One and still be limited to streaming situations, preventing users from gaining an advantage in multiplayer games.

I agree 100 % with you. Sometimes you have to write a longer message on xbox, and then using the controller will make it really slow. Using a keyboard would make it A LOT easier. :)

this is actually great news, I use my keyboard now to type messages quickly :) I also have a mouse and keyboard adapter for my xbox one I paid like 80 dollars for it and its garbage :/ the slightest delay really throws off the aim..

I would really love to see this :) , kinda sucks you cant game with it. But you know, its something. Plus I do know of a great adapter I want to try anyway.

If steam machines weren't a thing I suppose it could be to draw in the crowd that want to play with a mouse and keyboard but can't afford a PC possibly but it could also just be a comfort thing.

Honestly we don't even need these things for CSGO to flourish in consoles. CSGO on 360 is fun and competitive but it is just a old version of GO, Add some support for the console version like Minecraft did and X1 and PS4 would do just fine and open up a whole new market for Valve.

You know, people don't think CSGO Should be brought onto the One but if Keyboard and Mouse support is better than it was on 360 and Microsoft push out keyboard and mouse features such as extended sensitivities and FOV Options to name a few, I think CSGO and other PC shooters Might be welcomed to console as long as it is maintained.

I already use a keyboard for typing but not for gaming, this will be great if you could game with a mouse and keyboard.
