Black Ops 3 will not support cross-platform play between PC Windows 10

4.6
PCDev has confirmed on Twitter that they do not have plans to support cross-platform play between Windows 10 on PC and the Xbox One platform for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Windows 10 is set to launch on July 29th and one of the features it includes is the ability to have cross platform play with Xbox One if developers support; one of the first titles to announce support is Fable Legends, but it seems that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will not be supporting this new feature.

Treyarch has already confirmed beforehand that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be compatible with Windows 10 OS, but it seems all of it’s functionality will be limited to Steam, rather than the Xbox app on Windows 10. Another big feature of Windows 10 is cross buy between PC and Xbox One titles, but as of now, there’s no indication from Activision or Treyarch if that will be supported for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Oh well that's a shame for PC players. :(

_Skittle I don't think cross platform would be such a great thing when combining a console and a PC..

Why not? When everything is stored on the cloud and both the PC and console have to connect to it, I don't see a problem. I think we will see more and more games adopt this style of cross platform as Windows 10 integrates more with Xbox One.

-AskingAlexandria- This is because they couldn't cope with all the console plebs complaining that they're getting rekt by the PC players using their far-superior mouse & keyboard. Nothing to do with "servers" people - the fact of the matter is PC players would have a far better time than the console players.

imo mouse and keyboard and controller do the same. Feel different but the same. On a mouse you can move around quicker but that's why on consoles there's a sensitivity toggle. The people that don't know how to properly use a mouse and and keyboard and don't have custome configs to mouse will suffer and be killed easily unless using a controller. Also using a controller you can do 360 degrees easier and turning is easier.

You are just posting to post. PC has sensitivity toggles too, and it also has DPI. Mouse is much more accurate.

There is no such thing as something being more accurate. When using a mouse they don't have aim assist but for controllers you can have a huge bonus with aim assist as it locks on to your target. I've played some games of cod on PC with a controller and always came top 3 and most the time number 1? Also when using a controller you can relax on couch instead of staying in 1 position for how ever long you play hurting your ass and your wrists lmaoo

Well if you are good at the game you are playing you always do good, and most good and non causal gamers play at their desk anyway no matter PC or console. And if you use a controller on PC it gives no auto aim assist....... "LMAO" Idiot...

It'd have its pros and cons if this happened.
You'd get to play with Friends on PC or Xbox, depending where you stand.

But.. Console plebs would get rekt my the almighty race of masterness. :^]
