Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta exclusive to PS4 for five days

PlayStation 4 owners will be playing the upcoming beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 a few days before anyone else.

When Activision announced the start date of the Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta last week, it only revealed the August 19 date. At the time, it was not known how long the PlayStation 4 exclusivity period will last.

Part of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s presence at Comic-Con last weekend, was an event called Zombies Escape Room Challenge. Anyone who attended said event, received a 30-day PlayStation Plus trial card. These cards had new details about the beta.

As you can see above, the beta will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 for five whole days. Starting August 19 and possibly opening to everyone else August 23. Treyarch hasn’t announced an end date, but the number of exclusive days seems to suggest a period longer than what you’d expect from AAA betas.

This beta, along with the 30-day DLC exclusivity period, are all part of the series switching homes, from Xbox to PlayStation.

For five days? Ain't worth getting a PS4 just to get DLC faster or try beta first. Ill stick with xbox.

Game looks like absolute trash. If I wanted to play Deus-Ex I would not some rip off. Every new CoD has been complete garbage, they need to go back to the roots like WaW, CoD 4, MW2 etc, not this futuristic crap. They should know this with Sales declining every year...

Im not really that bothered about this, i can wait 5 days for a Call of duty im never going to play but going to buy it anyway because its another COD to add to the collection.

That's because it wasn't Treyarch who made it. Treyarch has made the best of the CoD's, except MW2 which I've heard is the best(Though I never have played it.)

I'm a little upset about this, but I understand. PlayStation finally gets a CoD first along with all DLC earlier. Makes sense they get Beta early too.
