‘Xbox One Elite Console’ appears on Walmart’s Listings Quickly Removed

Microsoft may be offering an Xbox One Elite Console, according to a listing spotted on Walmart.

The Xbox One Elite Console listing comes just days after Microsoft unveiled its Xbox One Elite Controller, which offers a number of unique additions to its original controller that includes hair-trigger locks, pro-precision, and a new D-Pad. The Xbox One Elite Console could be an addition to Microsoft’s apparent Elite line of peripherals, although what additional bells and whistles it could offer over the original console is unknown at this time.

The Walmart listing shows the Elite console would ship on December 31st, although this date is probably a placeholder for its real release date.

I bet it is also lighter and smaller than the original, which, would be an excellent thing considering how large it is now. Would love for this to be true and real.

Unless they up the graphics to 1080p with a constant 60fps there's no way they can even dream at competing with PC games.

Do I hear 4k support, granted 60fps for nearly every game, and a toaster included? Because, if not then it's not an elite console nor should it be marketed that way. I'm all for an upgraded console but if it's not at industry standard then there isn't any reason to upgrade to it. Just because it has a new look, upgraded hard drive, and makes noises when it boots up is no reason to brand it as an "Elite" console. Hopefully M$ understands this.
