Two new PS4 models outed by FCC certifications

4.7
The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) published certification documents for two new PlayStation 4 consumer models. Picked up by DualShockers, the certification documents show hard drive capacity and slight electrical-related changes.

The models are CUH-1215A and CUH-1215B. The latter comes with a 1TB drive, a first for the console. Sony has not announced any new SKUs with such capacity, but E3 is coming up and would make a perfect opportunity for such announcement.

The new units’ power supply is rated at 230 W and 2.3-0.95 A. Both lower than the current models at 250 W and 2.5-1.15 A.

Here’s a screengrab from the certification PDF:

Might as well get a PC, get better equipment whenever you want.

Better off paying for an external hard-drive, so much cheaper.

Alexyy Wonder when they will give up on consoles.

Wonder when kids will stop making these posts.

They're all just idiots, atleast with console we don't have to worry about modyfing our computers every few months just to be able to run the latest games, yes PC may be better (I prefer to play my PC for a lot of games) but I still love my PS4, no need to worry about anything, just put in the disk and that's it, you can kick back on a couch and put your feet up and play your heart away.

Just all preference to be honest!

I find it hilarious that people really still think you have to do upgrades every month. Also, the fact that those same people really think that you couldn't hook your computer up to a TV and sit on your couch too. I have an HTPC for that exact purpose. It's cool to enjoy your preferred platform, but spouting nonsense is ridiculous.

Xbox have had a ton of new different versions of the XB1 so far and have already had a 1TB version aswell. So PS is kinda just catching up.

Added a 1TB console is good for PS users. Also why does the new model have a power supply less than the current?

Why's it so much more expensive? They pretty much only added an extra 500GB
